Hope is the animated student film i completed in may 2024 for my final year at the Northern School of Arts Illustration & Animation Course. It was nominated for and then went on to win the schools Governer's Award.
Hope, is centered around Charlie and her pet dog Hope, as they navigate through an apocalyptic world in an attempt to reunite. I wanted to focus on the environments my characters were in and spent a lot of time focusing on the composition and colours of each scene, even thumbnailing out every scene in my sketchbook before storyboarding digitally.

Kairos was made over the course of my 16 Week College project for my first year of college, where I made an animated short-film inspired by the tale of the Greek Mythological creatures. Laelaps, a magical dog who catches everything it is sent to hunt, and the Teumessian Fox, who was destined to never be caught. This was my first attempt at telling an original narrative through animation, with the added challenge of no dialogue this project taught me a lot of technical skills in toonboom and how to convey a story using show not tell.
